The Liberal Democrats have chosen well known local campaigner Romer Hoseason to contest the by-election caused by the illness of Cllr. Mrs Burman.
Romer, who is 54 years old, has lived in Oswestry since 1982. He has served on the Town council for 6 years and has been very active with a number of voluntary bodies in the town
Romer said I was surprised that I managed to get through the selection process with so many excellent candidates available. I will do my best to serve the people of Castle ward and the wider Oswestry community. As an active campaigner I know that it is frequently the little things that cause the most problems and I will do my best to attempt to fix these problems. It is a shame that most of the councillors in Oswestry are rarely seen or heard of in their wards except at election times. "
