Solihull's MP, Lorely Burt and her constituency office staff have all signed the 10:10 pledge to help cut their carbon emissions.
"It's a simple campaign with a simple message," said Lorely.
"Those that sign are committing to reducing their carbon emissions by 10% in 2010. I have signed up to meet this commitment next year - and all my office staff are on board!
"There are also plans for Liberal Democrats to debate the introduction of a party wide commitment at conference later this month.
"As committed environmentalists I think it's a good opportunity to show that Liberal Democrats are at the forefront of such positive campaigns. "
