The Future Fit programme has lurched , suddenly back into life with the announcement today that the Urgent Care Centres
and a new A&E funding has been granted £300 million - subject to the consultation. As soon as that is ready I urge you all to take part in that. I will circulate it. This is very good news as our acute hospitals really cannot continue as they are.
The formal public consultation will ask for people's views on two options:
· Option 2 The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital becomes an Emergency Care site and the Princess Royal Hospital becomes a Planned Care site (This the CCGs' preferred option) Opti Option 2 The Princess Royal Hospital becomes an Emergency Care site and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital becomes a Planned Care site Under either option, both hospitals would have an Urgent Care Centre that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. |
